Post-doctoral Research Associate in Intelligent Multi-Energy Engineering Systems

Position Purpose:
In this post-doctoral research associate position, the research associate will conduct computational research that develops intelligent multi-energy operations management and planning systems at the city scale.

Required Qualifications:
  • PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operations research, industrial engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
  • Strong foundations in physical modeling energy systems in the electrical, thermal, fluidic, and mechanical energy domains
  • Strong background in optimization and model-predictive control methods; both in their theoretical understanding and numerical implementation.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB required. Knowledge of Julia is encouraged.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Doctoral Research Assistant in Intelligent Multi-Energy Engineering Systems

In this doctoral research assistantship, the doctoral student will develop a capacity to conduct computational research in intelligent multi-energy operations management and planning systems at the city scale.

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operations research, industrial engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
  • Undergraduate foundations in physical modeling energy systems in the electrical, thermal, fluidic, and mechanical energy domains
  • Undergraduate background in optimization and model-predictive control methods; both in their theoretical understanding and numerical implementation.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB required. Knowledge of Julia is encouraged.
